The Tamshiyacu Tahuayo Regional Conservation Area is a protected zone in Loreto, Peru, covering over 4,200 km². Established in 2009, it preserves diverse ecosystems of floodable and upland rainforests. The region is home to numerous species of mammals, birds, fish, and reptiles, many of which are endangered or endemic. Managed by the Loreto Regional Government, it promotes sustainable use of wildlife by local communities. Visitors can explore wildlife through activities like hiking, camping, bird watching, and fishing.
The Tamshiyacu Tahuayo Regional Conservation Area (ACRCTT) supports an estimated 2,500–3,500 plant species, with notable trees like cedar and mahogany.
