Your adventure begins with pickup from your Iquitos hotel or airport.

We travel by land and river toward the lodge, navigating along the mighty Amazon River as the urban landscape gives way to rainforest.

Yagua Indigenous Community

Along the way, we visit a Yagua Indigenous community to learn about its traditions, history, clothing, and cultural heritage.

Experience a traditional cultural presentation and gain insight into the relationship between the Yagua people and the Amazon rainforest.

Lodge Arrival & Lunch

We continue to the lodge, where you will enjoy lunch before checking into your private wooden eco-cabin.

Take some time to settle in and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Botanical Rainforest Walk

In the afternoon, join your guide for a botanical exploration through the rainforest.

Discover trees and plants such as rubber trees, ojé, and rainforest vines, while learning about their ecological importance and traditional uses.

Night Jungle Walk & Campfire

After a regional dinner, we head into the rainforest for a guided nighttime exploration.

Listen for nocturnal wildlife and search for insects, frogs, spiders, reptiles, and other creatures that become active after dark.

The evening concludes around a traditional Amazonian campfire, where your guide will share local myths and legends.

Overnight at the lodge.

Rise early for a peaceful boat excursion as the first light of day reaches the rainforest.

Amazon Sunrise & Birdwatching

Explore the surrounding waterways while looking for tropical birds such as herons, hawks, and kingfishers.

The early morning is one of the best times to experience the sounds and activity of the Amazon.

Return to the lodge for breakfast.

Monkey Island

After breakfast, navigate toward Monkey Island, an ecological wildlife rescue and conservation sanctuary.

Depending on the animals currently under care, you may encounter capuchin monkeys, woolly monkeys, macaws, and other Amazonian wildlife.

The visit provides an opportunity to learn about wildlife conservation and the challenges faced by rescued animals.

San Rafael Butterfly House

Return to the lodge for lunch before continuing to the community of San Rafael.

Visit the San Rafael Butterfly House, where you will learn about the fascinating life cycle of butterflies and observe colorful Amazonian species in a tropical environment.

Return to the lodge and enjoy the remainder of the afternoon at leisure.

Today is the highlight of the expedition.

After breakfast, board a fast boat for a full-day exploration of the Yanayacu River, one of the region's fascinating blackwater ecosystems.

The river's naturally dark waters create a distinctive landscape where rainforest seems to rise directly from the water.

Deep Rainforest Exploration

We venture into areas of flooded rainforest, exploring the forest on foot with our local guide.

Along the way, we look for wildlife and discover impressive trees, including ancient giant specimens that have survived for generations in this extraordinary ecosystem.

Lunch on the River

Enjoy a box lunch aboard the boat, surrounded by the sounds and scenery of the rainforest.

This is a true Amazon wilderness experience, far from the busy areas around Iquitos.

Traditional Piranha Fishing

In the afternoon, experience traditional piranha fishing using simple wooden fishing rods.

Your guide will explain the techniques traditionally used by local communities and the ecological role piranhas play in the Amazon food chain.

After the fishing experience, we begin our journey back toward the lodge.

After breakfast, we begin our final Amazon adventure.

Pink & Gray River Dolphins

Navigate through the surrounding waterways in search of pink and gray river dolphins.

We explore areas around river confluences where these fascinating freshwater mammals may be encountered.

As with all wildlife encounters, sightings depend on natural conditions and cannot be guaranteed.

Fundo Pedrito

Continue to Fundo Pedrito, where you can observe Amazonian wildlife including caimans and giant arapaima fish.

This experience offers an opportunity to learn more about some of the Amazon's most impressive aquatic species.

Amazonian Trapiche

Return to the lodge for lunch before beginning the final journey toward Iquitos.

Along the way, make a stop at a traditional trapiche, or sugarcane mill, where you can learn about local production and, where available, sample traditional Amazonian beverages.

Return to Iquitos

Continue by boat to the embarkation point and transfer to your Iquitos hotel or airport.

Your four-day Amazon expedition comes to an end.
